Rampage iv Formula dram led lit (during/after boot)

Hi, I'm Fernando from Portugal.

And my problem isn't really a problem, I have this R4F for two months now and, I think since I upgraded the bios from 4601 to 4802, the dram led is always lit, although it looks a little dimmed (after POST), but the mb boot's ok, and runs fine no BSOD's or other errors, I tried default settings, downgrade the bios to 4601 removed all the mem sticks, tried just 1; no change. Is this just a bug or is the mb dying?

Thanks in advance.

I'll answer myself, and the problem seems to be a blown pull down resistor related with fan pwm, which also keeps the dram status LED from lit with no dram failure present. Probably it was a fan with a defective header that caused it. The resistor value must be around 100ohm.

And why in 8 fan headers, all with four pins, only two (cpu_fan, cpu_opt_fan) are PWM enable and are tied together, and cha_fan1,2,3 are linearly (no PWN- more MB heat-) regulated and tied together? For a quite expensive product this looks a little cheap. But overall it is not that bad.
