Rampage IV EXtrme Won't Sleep / Hibernate

Counteragent
Level 8
Hi Guys,

Have a funny issue with a recent build / install completion. When I press the button on my case to put PC into sleep it goes to sleep and then wakes up again straight away, its the same when I put it into hibernate mode via command prompt.

Previously I beleive it was working fine, I can't recall any bios changes or any problems.

Any suggestoins?

I'm running Logitech Wired Keyboard / Mouse.

Cheers

Did you check your memory settings? I had similar sleep issue but adjusted my memory setting in bios and it was all good.

Do you have the Bluetooth installed...if so uninstall or disable.
Cheers

FYI I have bluetooth installed and paired, and my board sleeps great.

Overclocking is useless to me if it is not rock stable.

You can try disabling "Allow this device to wake the computer" for your keyboard and mouse entries in the Device Manager. Also, disable Allow wake up timers in the Power Options. If your PC stays in Sleep, you can enable the wake up function for whichever device like as long as it doesn't interfere with Sleep.

is the keyboard including an USB hub? I wonder if that might be affecting sleep possibility.

I use this program to check what is keeping my computer from going to sleep and also to keep it from going to sleep while downloading.

Coffee

http://sourceforge.net/projects/coffee-sc/

Features
Prevents standby when Downloading
Prevents standby when transfering files over the network
Prevents standby when using web installers
Provides insight into why your computer wont enter sleep
Saves you having to change the power setings to never and back again all the time
Saves you from having to redownload a file that will not resume after sleep
more to come....

It will show what applications or devices are keeping your system from sleeping.

For instance if I have teamspeak open using my wireless USB headset it prevents sleep. This app states something like: /dev/Logitech USB audio stream.

Anyways this function is in extra's then sleep blockers in the application. If nothing is showing up in here then I woud start looking at hardware or bios settings.
