I know, weird thread title...

I have a system based around the Rampage IV Extreme mobo. I have it connected to the Internet via hardwire to a Verizon FiOS wireless router. Every time I boot my Dell laptop and it connects to the Internet via the same FiOS router (wirelessly), my main system starts up from Sleep Mode!

If I disconnect the Ethernet cable that goes to the Rampage IV Extreme, the system will not start up from Sleep Mode.

This never happened with the exact same setup when my main system was based on the Rampage II Extreme mobo.

Any ideas?

Windows network stuff searches for other computers, other available multimedia files (and you wonder why they have a security issue?), etc.
If you don't want your computer to wake up via network then go into your network adapter (Gigabit LAN) device driver properties last tab and disable "wake on lan."

Here I was searching all over in the BIOS for Wake on LAN and the Bluetooth stuff...

If I turn everything off in the Wake on LAN section for the adapter, then my Acronis backup software can't bring the computer out of Sleep mode to perform its backup task.

I tried leaving the Wake on Magic Packet option checked and it seems to work OK with that.

Just an FYI.

Check your card's wake events in both BIOS and Windows, sounds like it might be magic packet bringing your system to life.

Technically it's not amagic packet that woke it up, it's just arp. The solution is still the same:)

FYI Acronis backup software is known to reduce computer performance.
