Rampage IV Extreme + Overclock

Hi Guys,

I'm a previous Rampage III Extreme User and now I've stepped up to the Rampage IV Extreme.

I have a very simple question that I can guess most can answer for me.

I've set my OC Profile as per the picture below:

http://203.41.218.83/oc.bmp

Target CPU Turbo-Mode Speed: 4700Mhz.. And its running fine.

Does that actually mean I've overclocked the CPU to 4.7Ghz? Cause I look in my tools within the Operating System and I do not see any reference to 4.7Ghz.

Thanks guys.

Use CPUz to see what your actual frequency is. And I assume you have used a pre-set to clock to 4.7GHz or have you set your bios manually?
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

Yes, it means you've overclocked to 4700. Turbo mode is just the internal design for how a particular cpu frequency is reached.

I believe windows will only show you up until the maximum stock turbo frequencies.

As hivizman suggested, use cpu-z to verify the cpu frequency in windows.
