I've got a Rampage IV Extreme running ESXi 6u2, and I'd like to boot from the video card in PCIE_X8_2A or PCIE_X8_2B instead of PCIE_X16_1.
PCIE_X16_1 has a GTX 960, as does PCIE_X16/8_3, I'd like to save those for VGA passthrough and use PCIE_X8_2A's GT610 as the console video. PCIE_X8_2B is open, PCIE_X8_4 has a 10GbE card in it, so I can't really move cards around much without getting into flexible risers which would be a giant PITA.
I don't see any options in BIOS to pick which slot is the default for video, though I might be missing it. It's on the latest BIOS from Asus, I can downgrade as long as VT-D is still supported by a lower version.
