Right guys I have issues too now with 1011 and 6b. Both with my 7970's in Trifire. They keep locking up in games such as Dirt 2 and Dirt 3. I have tried changing to gen 2, running CPU etc at stock still the same problem. The cards are in the slots with three slot spacing as they are still on air and if I put em close together they get very hot. My GTX 580s Tri SLi in the same set up run absolutely 100% fine with the cards in the top three red slots as they are on water. This problem is really anouying every time I think its sorted it locks up again. I am gonna try 1005 again I think. Anyone have this with tri fire 7970??? problems ?? or Fine???

Hey mate - looks like this is one for Shamino and the engineers to sort. Problem elevated as they say. 🙂

Cheers Hivizman. i am gonna flash to 1005 again tonight and see how that goes. Also try two card operation on current bios's.

Please do mate, waiting to hear from the boffins what else we can try. Pity I do not have enough cards to try and duplicate 🙂

Flashed back to 1005. No ill effects to report. Games and benchmarks run fine just as they did on BIOS 1011. I noted no decrease in 3Dmark or framerate drops in games. My overclock is back to 5Ghz for 24/7 use and appears stable. I will report back if this OC holds at my previous settings. If it does, I'm inclined to beleive that 1005 is a tad more stable than 1011.
