Hello, I am installing WinXP pro 64bit

I want to install AHCI drivers so i can leave my Bios SATA Mode on AHCI

I downloaded and copied the Intel RST Raid/SCSI Drivers From ASUS Rampage IV extreme Downloads section.

I then extracted the 64bit drivers to a Floppy and pressed F6 to install when prompted by windows
I am at the F6 prompt to install third Party Raid/SCSI Drivers
The problem is which one do i choose?!

here are the selections:

Intel(R) C600 Series Chipset SATA RAID Controller
Intel(R) ICH7R/DH SATA RAID Controller
Intel(R) ICH7MDH SATA RAID Controller
Intel(R) Desktop/Workstation/Server Express Chipset SATA RAID Controller

Intel(R) C600 Series Chipset SATA AHCI Controller
Intel(R) 5 Series Chipset SATA AHCI Controller
Intel(R) ICH7R/DH SATA AHCI Controller
Intel(R) ICH7M/MDH SATA AHCI Controller
Intel(R) ICH9R/DO/DH SATA AHCI Controller

I just need to know which one to choose thanks

its like my motherboard is treating my HDD like a damn CD-Rom device!

it definitly not a problem with the OS cause it happens with any version of windows i install!

even when i choose the HDD Directly from the list of Boot Overides in the BIOS it keeps telling me "Reboot and Select proper Boot Device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot Device and press a key"

somthing is up with this damn motherboard

i have the latest bios version installed as well version 1202

Since we have no idea what the set up is you are using it is rather difficult to offer any assistance. May I suggest you provide a full and detailed hardware list.

Rgds

I have 1 Hitachi HDD and 1 CDrom connected to sata3gb_1 Black and Sata3gb_2 Black
on the sata6gb Red connectors i have it filled with SSD's(they work absolutley fine and windows boots up no problem)

Sata configuration is as follows:

Sata Mode: IDE
Sata Ata Controller 0 (Enhanced)
Sata Ata Controller 1 (enhanced)

I am mannually selecting my Hitachi HDD which has Windows XP 64x installed on it from the Boot Override menu in BIOS.

For some reason, it keeps telling me "Reboot and Select proper Boot Device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot Device and press a key"

its like its looking at the Damn CD-rom and not my HDD!!! for the boot files

if i enter the windows cd in the cd-rom however, it will boot up fine!

I have tried the following:

I have tried changing my Sata Config to the following:

Sata Ata Controller 0 (compatible)
Sata Ata Contoller 1 (enhanced)

I have tried completely disconnecting my CD rom device from the motherboard (that is disconnecting the data and power cables) and it still gives me the same message when i select the HDD from the Boot Override menu!

i cannot connect my HDD to the Red Sata6gb connectors because i have them occupied by my SSD's and if i do that it will ruin my OS stripe volume i have set up in Windows 7!
Besides, i should'nt have too! i should be able to boot from any HDD connected to any Sata controller on my Motherbaord! this is rediculouse!

i have tried reinstalling XP x64 aswell as XP 32bit does'nt matter

please help
