Hi,
I am planning getting the rampage IV extreme and would like to know if any users are successfully using 8 sticks of ram at 2400. .
If so what brand model are they using.
I have been looking but I am struggling to find 8 stick kits in the uk

Thanks in advance.

I have 64 Gigs G-Skill F3-19200C10-8GBZHD (Ripjaws Z)
tested it with xmp mode 1 and it is fine. Jst have to follow the G-skill xmp procedure here.

32GB of Corsair Dominator GT (8 sticks, 4GB each).

Despite all the dire warnings to the contrary, that's actually 4 sets of Dual Channel memory.

I don't overclock the RAM, but am able to undervolt it substantially - it is running at 1.4V right now and performing like a champ.

Have I sacrificed anything? I don't know to be honest, I'm new to overclocking at this level, but my rig will run happily at 4.5GHz (temps around 60C under load) and 4.8GHz (70C under load) at an ambient temperature of c. 26C (78F).

I've got a lot of learning to do (like offsetting!), but I hope that helps.
Simon

It is all about the quality or strength of your IMC that will determine the ease of which you can get your 64GB of DDR3 memory stable. Some but not all of the problems do come when folks use ram that was designed for a chipset other than the one you wish to use. The main factor for the successful use of a full rack of memory is the IMC on your CPU, not much else. We make the work the IMC do easier by selecting those kits specifically designed for the platform.

Well said. This is about the best explanation I've read.

It comes down to chance somewhat based on the strength on your chips IMC. They key then is to improve your chances of success. I am running 8 x 4G at 2133 now, but the system can run at 2400. I only dropped it a notch to ensure stability for my ram disk. I am running Gskill ripjaw Z 2400.

PC Boot OK
Resume vom S3 doesn't not work
What is the Problem?

Yeah I can well believe it, that the option listed by one user did not work for another. No two IMC and not two CPU are the same. Sad to admit but that is what it is.

If you would like assistance tsk please do start a thread of your own and list all your hardware and those settings in bios that you have changed.
