Rampage iv black fan headers

I have three Corsair 120 pwm performance edition fans for static pressure plugged in to chassis header 1 with a splinter. I have the same splinter controlling the fans on CPU header with 4 120 fans also. I can control the CPU fans speed with no issue. However the chassis header 1 no matter what I do the fans run at full speed. Have tried bios auto on fans and also advanced. Put them on silent still full speed. Any suggestions...

Re bios can see te fan plugged into cassis fan head 1 and shows the rpm. But the fan expert 2 software will not see anything on chassis 1. My formula 6 board everything worked just fine with fan expert 2.

So the header is working atleast. I had to out my af fans back in because the sp fans were very loud because I could t slow them down. 😕
