Hi

I probably going to order Rampage IV Black Edition and Intel Core i7 4930K (BX80633I74930K)

But what is rev.S1? How to know if this CPU is with “rev.S1” ?

Supported CPU list for RIVBE I can see this string: Core i7-4930K (3.4GHz, L3:12M, 6C, HT, 130W, rev.S1)

Can I order BX80633I74930K and it will work just fine with RIVE-BE ?

It is better with 8GB i think, it’s also 16gb but later i can buy more of this and fill up all 8 slots. It is then 64GB total.

If i choose 4GBx4 and want 64gb later this mem will be useless? Correct me if I wrong.

What do you think about this mem I posted? Can it work with RIV-BE board?

I have also RIVE but that board is full already. With total 32GB but this board also support 64GB.

Will you use really 64GB?
Sorry for my english 😄

No, it doesn't work like that. You shouldn't mix kits. You should never mix kits like that. If you want to put 64GB in, then you'll need to put a 64GB kit in, or you may have memory issues. If you want 16GB now, and 64GB later, you will still end up with 16GB left over.

Sure, it’s good for video edeting.

I am currently building a somewhat similar build. I however know that I want 64GB and know that you are correct about Vide Editing and more RAM never hurts. However, I have read a lot about pushing systems to their limit with this much RAM, and have seen very very very (if any) positive/successful result when people try to piece together un binned (separately bought) RAM kits. I'm not saying you will be unsuccessful later when you try and do it, but it is not advised. You should expect that the kits will not pair, but if they do - consider it a random miracle! Either way, good luck!
