Rampage IV Black Edition Constant hissing from Microphone and Other Audio Issues.

So I get constant hissing from my microphone when I speak and I need to put the Boost on the mic at least +20dB for it to even pick up my voice and record anything.

I tested the headset and microphone on a laptop of mine and it sounds super crisp and clear and there is no need to use any boost at all.

I'm running the Latest Realtek drivers.

Could this be a fried onboard audio controller?

Did you remove and reinstall the driver? If so you may be picking up EMI. Perhaps a leaking capacitor. Contact support for their advice.
