Rampage III Extreme SSD for OS and RAID0 for mechanical drives

I would like to place the Windows 7 OS on a single 256GB SATA 3 SSD in AHCI mode and configure 4 mechanical hard drives (SATA 3) in a striped array (separate from the OS SSD). I tried to search out relevant posts on the topic and was not successful. I am wondering what the best way to go about this and get the best speeds from the devices. Any help will be appreciated.

Hey Enthusiast, if you want the full speed from your HDDs (6 GB/s), you'll need to use a RAID card in PCIe slot... Only on the Marvell connectors (2) you have SATA III... The rest, suitable for RAID array are only SATA II...

Thanks for the information.

So, I can put the OS SSD on the internal SATA 3 and put the 4 RAID drives on the PCI card? Can you suggest a PCI card?
