Rampage 3 Extreme >2TB Hard drive support, Windows 7, GPT Partition Table

I'm trying to install Windows 7 on a GPT partitioned HDD, but from what I can gather, this is only possible when using UEFI.
The Rampage III Extreme doesn't use UEFI, correct?
So even though the most recent BIOS update says that it "Supports over 2.2TB huge HDDs and RAID", I can't actually do this, because Windows 7 requires my drive to be partitioned with an MBR table... which is limited to 2TB... right?
Does anyone know if there's a workaround to this? I mainly want to avoid switching my drive from GPT to MBR, because I'll lose my existing Linux partition, as well as 1TB of storage (it's a 3TB drive).

Thanks!

It will support 3TB drives but not for the OS.

I can run Linux Mint 12 (Ubuntu 11)as a boot OS partition when installed as a single 3TB GPT, so the MB works fine.

it's only a Windows 7 limitation
