Hi,

I intend to do a RAM upgrade to my asus motherboard, but i'm a little confused, so i request a little help to find out an compatible RAM.

my setup:

Motherboard: Asus Striker II Extreme: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Striker_II_Extreme/overview/

CPU: intel QX9770: http://ark.intel.com/products/34444/Intel-Core2-Extreme-Processor-QX9770-12M-Cache-3_20-GHz-1600-MHz...

GPU: Asus GTX 650 TI BOOST: http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/GTX650TIBDC22GD5/

Now i have 2x2GB 533 MHz of RAM and i want to upgrade to 2x4GB so i'm asking if the Corsair Vengeance - 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 Memory Kit will work fine?

Hello DarkWolf

The striker II extreme supports DDR3 ram up to 2000MHz. The corsair vengeance ram you have listed will work fine.

If you are an over clocker and have an overclocking cpu you could go with a higher speed kit. ( up to 2000MHz )

What cpu are you using?
