Raid 0 + trim in rive?

As the title says, is it possible to raid-0 2 SSDs and still be able to trim them on the rampage iv extreme?

Yes, set the BIOS to Legacy only and Other OS, then run the RSTe F6 drivers.

Hello Rick:

I see you also have BIOS 4206 running in your system. Is it because you are stuck with it like me? I've reported this (for the third time) problem on other recent post. I only have to test one more thing to see if I can update the BIOS and will report back.

Stay with 4206; any later BIOS are geared for Ivybridge and just do not work well for Sandybridge. For instance, with any of the newer BIOS I cannot access the RSTe OROM by hitting cntrl>I. Plus they just are not as stable for Sandy'

RIVE does not, or at least is not supposed to, support Xeon. Several posts in the forum about that and many issues.

I'll go check and study the forum posts about this incompatibility, but it is ASUS own website that explicitly says xeons are supported. After a little research I've found that LGA2011 CPU's should work with LGA2011 mobos, as long the manufacturer support that in the BIOS, which supposedly ASUS has done for the RIVE.

Thanks Philly, I guess that some of the features they are possibly referring to is the max memory capacity, vPro, and/or others. If so, that will be Ok for me. For the processor I am researching, I will gain 3x the cache size, 3x the number of cores, pcie3.0 and 10% in energy savings! That's good enough for me. :rolleyes:
