Raid 0 as secondary Drives Issue

Hello Everyone,
I've been researching for a few days now to see if I can solve this issue but all I am coming up with is fixes to fix the issue if the OS is running on a raid.
The issue I am experiencing is, my OS is running off an single SSD and Will not read my secondary drive (2x2256 seagate momentus hybrid SSD- Raid 0)
I have the Raid enable for Sata 1-4 and 5-10 (or whatever the end # is), basically everything is set to Raid.
My Bios and AMD raid configure reads the raid just fine, When i boot into Windows 8.1 64bit, it only sees my primary SSD and not my raid array.
There are no Sata Raid driver support for Windows 8.1 on Asus' website.
has anyone experience the issue where the Motherboard and bios recognizes the raid but not the OS?

To some it up :
Windows 8.1 installed on single SSD 500gb. OS will not see the Secondary drive (2x256gb hybrid SSDs running in a raid 0). The Raid component of the bios recognizes the raid I created.
I installed the OS on the SSD first then I configured the raid.
Currently not running any OC settings. The only thing I've changed was the Ram profile to read my memory at 1866mhz with the corresponding timings.
Why won't my OS see my raid array?. Is there something i need to change in the UEFI options to make my raid available to the OS?
Remember, this is an issue with the secondary drives - my Primary OS drive is fine.

Please tell me which SATA ports you are using for your RAID array, and did you do your OS install with RAID as the SATA mode?
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

I figured it out. I'm used to Intel raid chipset doing it for me, I had to format the drive under disk management.
I can see the drive now.

Thank you

I have been trying to set my ssd up for the last two days this way. I want my samsung 840 evo as os and make my old raid 0 hdds as my games drive. When I set to raid on sata windows blue screens at install. It will only install os when set to ahci. I have the v formula, not the z. Os is windows 8

This is what you do.

Fit only your new OS ssd.

Now set SATA mode as RAID

Install you OS

Now fit the two old SSD and enter the AMD raid set up utility.

Create your RAID and save and exit.

Boot to OS and enjoy your system.

Okay so lastnight my OS stop reading the Raid drives again. I checked Disk management and nothing is listed except the SSD with the OS installed.
When booting up, the storage config shows my raid status as "Functional" -
The only thing i changed was i used the "extreme OC" option in the AI tool asus offers with the motherboard. Its the program where you can Overclock while running the OS.
The storage config recognizes the raid but going into the BIOS, i don't see the raid listed as a hard drive anymore. Does the "OC" option change the UEFI and other boot settings? attached is how my sata drives are plugged in31012

Here's another odd thing,
My computer boots to the OS like in 2 seconds but the windows 8 logo spins for like 10-15 seconds before the login screen comes up. any suggestions as to why this is happening? it just started doing this.
I have the "start menu" from iobit installed. I had turned off indexing and page filing.

Hey there n00dle, this is what you need to do. Move your SSD to the 1st port where you have your RAID drives connected. Then move the RAIDed drives to the next pair of ports and your CDROM and Esata to the last pair. Boot into BIOS, click Advanced -> Onboard Devices and disable the ASM1061 ports, they are terrible and not recommended for OS drives 🙂

You appear to have your OS SSD in the Asmedia SSD slot, not ideal for OS I would suggest.

Myself I would use the other six 6G SATA ports and NOT use the Asmedia at all.

so the one the SSD is plugged into is SATA slot 0, that's not good? its plugged into the one closest to the bottom of the board (away from the memory).

Also should I uninstall the AIsuite and ROG connect stuff that came with the MOBO disc?
