Hello guys,
I've updated the latest BIOS on my Rampage IV Formula via ALL SUITE II correctly, but I don't understand why my processor remains to 3.800Mhz all the time.I've applied only X.M.P. Profile and saved the config.
Before all of this , with previous bios I had the processor with 1200Mhz when my PC wasn't run any program or game.
What's happened?
Please help

You either have selected the High Performance power profile in Windows or you have disabled EIST.

If you have EIST enabled in BIOS, go to power options in control panel and then advanced settings. Then go to processor power management and turn minimum processor state from 100% to something like 10%. It should then downclock properly when not loaded.

Problem solved , it was an option ( can't understand how changed lol ) on the processor power management ,setted up to minimum processor state to 10%.
Thank you guys

That option is the default in the High performance profile, so if you chose that then it's the default.:)

@Nodens ,Not exactly, when I changed the xmp profile in the previous BIOS the processor power management was good (minimum 10% - max 100 % ).
however thanks anyway and keep the good work up 🙂

You must have been on Balanced (which is the default on new windows installation) profile. High Performance always has min set to 100% unless you change it yourself:)

@Nodens , I never setted it up an High performance config on windows , the config was on balanced , and the minimum processor power management has changed to 100%.
Before that, when I changed the BIOS X.M.P Profile, the power management worked correctly (balanced 10% -100% )

Ah I see. XMP has nothing to do with it, XMP only affects RAM clock and timings. It has nothing to do with Power features, the CPU or the Operating System. Something else changed your profile settings. You must have an application installed that does that.
