R4E with 4G*8 ram - 16g is recognized only

I installed 2 set Corsair CMT16GX3M4X2133C9 in in all 8 slots. But only 16gb is recognized in windows and in BIOS.
I use some program to check that.....only A1,A2,B1,B2 is running........
I try to remove and restall the ram many time..but the result is same....
Finally I have traced some problem on C2,D1,D2 ram slots.....
If I install the ram in A1,A2,B1,B2,C1......that is ok....20gb is recognized Windows and bios show.
but try to install ram in C2/D1/D2 ram slots.............only 16gb can be recognized in windows and in BIOS

I am sure C1, D2 are working normally...
Before I got 2 set Corsair CMT16GX3M4X2133C9. I install samsung 1333 4G ram *4 in A1,B1,C1,D1.....Evenything is fine.

should i rma my R4E?

sounds like your kits are not all matched. or its the limit of the cpu for that memory speed. talk to corsair and see about geting a matched set for all 8. in the mean time you should be able to run all memory at 1600 speeds.

All memory is running at 1333.......still has same problem

Did you use the EZ plug for the Dimm slots? Its the 4pin one above the PCI Express slots

u have home or pro edition of windows? and which OS?


7 home 64 bit 16 Gb os limit win 7 64 pro 128Gb I know I have 32 Gb showing in os cause i had to anytime upgrade to pro,and cpuz will show like OS also so dont worry.

If this is the issue of course, let me know im up.

I have same memory and is at 2133 close to it per cpuz around 996 of course x 2 close to the 2133 but im only at 43 muti and copy cat OZ per our guide.

my windows is windows 7 ultimate

32 or 64 bit? check computer properties and activted with all updates from microsoft because if not, try win update if new install, am I wrong?
