R4BE wireless adapter problem

Hi, has anyone ever encounter this problem that all of a sudden the wireless adapter just can't find any network, while my laptop can still connect. Tried reset adapter, restart computer, re-install driver, even re-install windows 7, non of above worked.

It was working before, it happened just suddenly, now I can't get it to work.

Any ideas? Thx.

Could be a number of things causing that:

1) Make sure you have the latest driver updates installed.
2) Make sure Windows Update is up to date.
3) Try changing router channel just in case the signal isn't strong enough for the WIFi card .
4) Sometimes Windows can flake out of network conection if it detects non Windows devices on a network and file sharing and network discovery are on.
5) Could even be OC/instability related if the driver is failing or the device is not able to comm with the board due to unstable bus.
6) Some strange power problem like DC leaking into the board and preventing the controller from resetting.

Other than that, not sure..

Just to clarify was the NIC ever able to establish a connection?
If so have any changes been made to the router since?
Biggest thing I have seen to check is your routers broadcast frequency.
If it is at 20 or 40 hz then try changing it to both. Some wireless devices will not establish connections at one or the other, looking at you nintendo.
If it has established a connection and is just cutting out you may need to check what your IP subnet, might be labeled IP range, is in your router. If other devices take up the available slots in your household then you need to increase it. If you want to be really sure and more secure then lock down your router to each device in your household by MAC address. If you need any help on that let me know.
