R IV E Delivered Today - Missing Parts?

Just received my Rampage IV Extreme LGA 2011 and just wondered if it's normal for the 4-Way and 3-Way SLI bridge to not be in a bag each? Also I didn't get any VGA Hotwire Cables.. bought new from NewEgg and just worry I may have received a returned item that's missing parts?

I just checked the newegg website sounds like you have an open box item. The regular Rampage IV Extreme board which cost $439 and has been out of stock for a while now. I've been checking daily for my board RIVE/BF edition and that is out of stock as well.

Note: If it is an open box and you want to return it and get the regular edition they might charge you a restocking fee due to there is no issue with the board and you purchased the wrong one thinking it was a regular board.

You call them and they will not charge the restocking, at worst, you go on eggxpert and you tell the story, Paul the guy who make the Egg video is the admin, he will take care, they don't like see peoples complain about receiving open box, they act quick.

Thanks for the advice.

The item was out of stock initially and I saw the open box version but didn't like the idea of it, I set up an alert to let me know when it was back in stock, when I was alerted bought it. I paid the full price and expected a new item. Yesterday I used Live Chat and spoke with someone who was very unhelpful - so I called in and they said they with RMA for a Refund (I bought 1year extended also) as they were out of stock.

Just don't feel good about it now, will be returning it tomorrow. I don't know if Tiger Direct are going to pull the same thing on me, not sure where to pick one up now.. might try them - anyone know any good suppliers on the east coast?

Will update this thread with outcome - but aside from the initial hassle Newegg seems to be doing the right thing now.

Pity you don't live here in Aus, a warehouse I purchase through still has the RIVE boards for sale lol

And a quick search in the US gives me this....just for you 🙂

It does sound like open box. Check your invoice and see what it says. 🙂

None the less a good board.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

NewEgg pulled this on me 'once' ... and have had legal issues over it in the past ..

My invoice said nothing of it being open box ... nor did the page i clicked buy now ..
i paid full price ... thanks for reminding me that im still ticked off about it ..
The money 'We' make them ..... to play dirty. Foul ball.

If your 30 are not up ... and you have any reserve that this was open .. then
send it back ... be happy ... thats alot of coin to not feel good about.c.

TigerDirect has retail stores in the east coast. I know for a fact I was in one in Chicago. You could also check out Curcuit City which was bought by Tiger Direct when they filed for Chapter 11. TigerDirect does store pick up.

EvilCensor,

I'm like you...I'm really concerned about "open box" stuff....especially electronics or PC parts. Although it's a pain in the butt, it's better you just RMA it and make sure you get an unopened box. You will feel so much better about it. $400+ is a lot of money for a motherboard and you want to know for sure you are the first to fire it up and have ALL the goodies inside. 🙂
