Question RE Asus VI Impact and Fastboot Jumper

Hi all -

I had to break down my rig to install a new cooler and started reading up on the Impacts "Fastboot" jumper. All I see is " accelerates boot time", but no real explanation of what it does. Since I have the board out I figured I would enable the jumper. Does anyone have any more information regarding this? I'm putting the machine back into an EVGA Hadron and would hate to have to pull out components later to put the jumper back to its default off position.

The FastBoot jumper allows users to always use UEFI booting rather than relying on the slower legacy boot sequence.

Thanks! Does this override the CSM Compatibility settings in the UEFI?

Not as far as I can recall but it is a simple matter to check.

Thanks, I'll check it out when I get home from work later.
