Hello.
I overclocked my cpu to 4.6ghz its all good working perfect but sometimes the windows explorer is crashing and restarting and its getting annoying i am thinking because i did set really low value thats why it keep crashing anyways here are the settings

Offset mode sin:+
CPU Vcore Voltage: +0.20
VTT CPU Voltage: 1.1
2nd VTTCPU Voltage: 1.05
CPU VCCSA Manual Voltage: 1.1

My rig is
3930k
Asus Rampage iv extreme
4x4gb 2133mhz cl9

Do i have to change anything to avoid the windows explorer crashing issue?
please help
thanks!

My settings for 4.6 are much different than yours for same hardware
offset +0.010
vtt 1.15
2nd vtt auto
vccsa 1.25

RIVE 3930k
Corsair Dominator Platinum 2400 @ 2400 or 2133

I think your vccsa voltage is to low

vccsa 1.25 is not too high?
May i ask what did set those to?:
CPU current capability
CPU Voltage Freq
CPU PLL Voltage
VCCSA Load-Line Calibration

Did you test your rig @stock CPU W/Memtest86+ v4.20 boot disk?
And what did you test your OC with to certify it stable? What were the test parameters/settings? How many passes/how long?
What is your CPU Vcore LLC setting?
I have never heard of anyone with a successful OC >4.4GHz changing 2nd VTTCPU Voltage off the default "auto".

I have been running VCCSA on 1.25V for >1yr.
i7-3930K; Asus RIVE; G.SKILL Ripjaws Z 4x4GB DDR3 1866; MSI 7870 2GD5/OC; Crucial M4 SSD 256GB;
Corsair 1000HX; Corsair H100, 4x Excalibur 120mm PWM CPU Fan p-p, AS5; SB X-Fi Titanium Fata1ity Pro;
Dell U2412m IPS 1920x1200; Cooler Master HAF 932 case; Tripp-Lite OMNIVS1500 UPS fully Line-interactive.
(EVGA site: ) And I have a second (wife's) computer, Eve.

Overclocking is useless to me if it is not rock stable.

Well i tested with IBT about 10 passes on default my LLC set to medium so do you recommend leaving the 2nd vttcpu as auto?

You need to set IBT to 8192MB (custom) to get a real test out if it, then run 20 passes.
When/if you get up around +0.1Vcore and 4.8 or more GHz you may need to change LLC to High. But when you do that, your burn Vcore will jump up by 0.05V, so adjust Vcore appropriately. Do not do this for your present OC speed.
