Hi guys,
I have a problem, or actually a question that I couldn't find any answer while searching the forums.
I have a Maximus VI Gene motherboard.
Our mPCIe Combo II Card has 2 sides/connections: 1 mPCIE and 1 M.2 for NGFF SSD.
So my question is, can you insert mSATA SSD to mPCIE connection?
I tried to insert mSATA 32GB SSD that I have from my Lenovo laptop, and I was planning to use it as a cache, however it isn't recognized anywhere, not in WIndows 8 or in Bios under SATA configuration, which I have set by default to AHCI.
If I can't use mPCIE for SSD, I'm planning to use it for WiFi since I also have Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 mini WiFi card from my previous Lenovo laptop.
