Q-Fan pb with RIVG 1305 BIOS

Hello there,

I'm currently playing with a MIVG and did some BIOS updates yesterday. Starting with an old beta BIOS (0216 if I remember), I 1st flashed the 1005 with absolutly no pb. Then later, I moved the the 1305 but then, I noticed that fan regulation do not work anymore (even with Q-Fan silent profile activated), CPU fan still runs at 100%. It used to work before. Am I the only one ? I've not tested the 1103 BIOS yet, but I don't like "going back".

See you,

Thomas

After update the BIOS, do a default value is set(hot key F5)?

I did it twice, but it does not work 😞 The CPU fan (a 3 pin) stays at 1200 rpm whatever I do, whatever I set up in the BIOS or in FanXpert software.

Just tried to go back with the 1103 BIOS, refused under Windows, refused under EasyFlash. *sic*

It is my understanding that the fan pin must have 4 connectors to be detected by most programs.

There's nothing wrong with using the newest BIOS version on C1 revision 39xx CPU if that's what you're hinting at.

Indeed, running a C1 at 4.4GHz on 1305, rockstable and no problems what so ever.
