Q-code "00" mainboard won't boot

Hi everyone, since a couple of days my Rampage IV Black Edition won't boot anymore. I've tried every single possibility on the net I could find, other CPU (i7-3820/ Xeon 2670), PSU, RAM(Kingston/GEiL), other CPU heatsink. Nothing seems to work, tested it inside the case, outside the case on a cardboard box, with and without CPU and RAM, updated the BIOS( this seems to work fine, using a fat32 formatted 4Gb stick with the latest BIOS file which has been renamed to R4BE.CAP). I put in the stick, pressed the ROG connect button till it flashes and then waited for it to stop, still with zero result. Still getting the Q-display to show "00" and the CPU led next to the 24-pin ATX burning bright red.

I'd rather not RMA it because the warranty is long gone and I don't have the packaging anymore.

I hope someone can please help me, as I'm desperate for what to do next.

Hi McRawFull

It doesn't sound too good.

If updating the bios and clearing the cmos didn't help and you tried with another psu and cpu, it seems you've confirmed the board died.

Just for fun have you tried switching to bios 2 ?
