So i got a new keyboard and i was going to go for the full NKRO but when i hoked in my ps2 adapter it did not work. the light flickers for a second like it was about to finish setup but then it would just loose power. un plugging and plugging back in does the same thing as well. i am using the same keyboard as usb to type this so its not a keyboard issue. is the port dead or this being a single port need some weird setup? i know what the answer is just hoping im wrong since i have had to RMA 3 times now for separate issues.

You mentioned a PS2 adapter are you sure that it can't be the adapter?
Do you have a standard ps2 keyboard you can try in the MB?
I would eliminate all other possibility's before I rma'd the board.

Did you try different USB ports - is your keyboard working on other motherboards?

Occasionally I have this happen with a rather expensive keyboard, But my cheap and nasty works each and every time. Go figure.

Try to disable IOMMU or legacy support for the USB ports, or try the 1102 code. Either one fixed it for me.
