Hi there!

My first guess would be the RAM, on what frequency are you running it on?
The FX series is a bit moody when it comes to high frequency RAM 😕

Oh and what kind of PSU are you using to power that beast?

hello
I've tested in 1600 and 2400.
Do I have a DARK POWER PRO 10 | 1000W CM

Hi Diabblo13 and Welcome to ROG. Is this a new build?

Have you OCed at all,? if so, clear CMOS back to default, re-enter Bios and set for D.O.C.P in AI Overclock Tuner. (Allows the system to set the best initial parameters for CPU ratio, bus and memory) and leave the rest on auto.
Restart and conduct a stress test, first on your CPU using ROG Realbench or Prime95 and monitor your temps.
If and when you are stable at stock frequency, you can then tune for more performance.
Observe your Qcodes during post cycle and report any stop errors.
Report back your results at 4.7GHz and we can take it from there.

I'm having similar issues with my FX-9590. My weak cooling and 750w PS isn't enough and ive found a stability with under clocking to 3.2-4.3 GHz to accommodate temps and my r9 290 has fans set to 100% without the side cover on. my radiator is set with fans both sides of back of case pulling in and 3 fans on top drawing air out with 2 fans on front drawing in also. With 3.8GHz at idle I get 34 degrees and running folding@home on mid i get 60-61 degrees. World of Warcraft gets 54-59 degrees. voltage seems to get sketchy above 4.5 GHz and above 61 degrees. Kind of a noob at this, but just sharing info might be helpful. I understand that this processor is designed to run around 5GHz, but for the sake of it lasting to next year when i can upgrade cooling and power 4.2 GHz is as far as i can push it without anomalies or voltage drops. Id be happy to share CPUID HWMonitor screenshots with you under similar circumstances to compare optimizing techniques.

The Crosshair V Formula-Z supports DDR3-2400. The FX-9590 only supports DDR3-1866 - not sure if that's even an issue, an out-of-the-box stock limit or a hard technical one, I honestly don't know a lot about overclocking modern AMD parts. Processor spec of 220W TDP is no joke - more than many beastly GPU cards - I wouldn't expect the full 5.0GHz without serious cooling (59C is pretty awesome though).

Run memory burn-in tests to determine if RAM is the problem. Perhaps try reseating the RAM, then try remounting the processor? You might just have a bad electrical contact, it sometimes happens to the best of us lol. Perhaps do a clean (nuke-and-pave) Windows+Drivers reinstall if no hardware issues can be identified? If you've had sudden power interruptions or forced-shutdowns then your SSD may have lost/corrupted OS-critical data.

Also note that the FX-9590 memory controller is only rated to do 1333 when you have 4 sticks of double ranked/sided ram in the system. Also of note, I have never been able to get my RAM running at 2133 to pass prime95 memory tests, despite it being rated 2133-10-10-11-30@1.65V---whether the cpu is overclocked OR running stock. Likely culprit is that they are (4) 8GB dual ranked ram sticks.

For reference, its 2 of these packages:

Although I paid MUCH, MUCH less than what newegg is currently selling them for, LOL.
