Problems using XP941 as boot drive

Yo, I have recently bought a Samsung XP941 SSD and I am trying to use it as a boot drive. I have done a complete copy of my old OS drive using a tool called Minitool Partition Wizard with success but when attempting to boot from the drive, the motherboard will kick me back into bios. I have also attempted to install an OS onto the drive using a USB stick but it gave me this error.

Upon further investigation, a lot of other people have had the same problem on different motherboards, but the solutions are vague and useless where people would just say "I've fixed the problem" and that is all. Some also just give up, but I won't give up a drive of these speeds without a fight. Have I bought a faulty drive or motherboard? I have updated the bios from 11** something to the latest with no improvements and I've already spent about two days attempting to fix a problem by Frankensteining a bios together with a file I found on the internet called 'Z97Ex61.40.SAMSUNG-M2-DXE' and AMI Aptio MMTool but the bios doesn't recognise the output file.

Hi Rhys. Thanks for the quick reply, I have done a bit more research (copied and pasted my part of the thread to the LTT forum at the same time for faster and varied results) and I've been told that it isn't technically supported by the motherboard specifically. By changing different features on the motherboard and reinstalling windows the problem could be resolved, but it would require me to change bios setting before and after reinstall and not have any storage connected to USB on boot which seems like a hassle.

Thanks again for your quick and in depth feedback 🙂
