I'm having trouble getting my motherboard to boot and it's driving me crazy. For several days now, when I try to turn on my Asus Maximus VII Hero, the code display and the housing backlight come on, and that's it. The code display shows 00, and often the number 00 will be displayed first, and only after a few seconds will the housing backlight come on. The fans are also spinning. If I wait a few minutes and press the CMOS reset button on the motherboard, then the code display will start displaying different numbers and the computer will start normally. I don't have a motherboard battery problem because the computer remembers the time. I haven't changed any hardware inside the computer case recently.
