Problem with free ROG Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2013 upgrade.

Hello,
I saw the banner and decided to install the free upgrade, but there is a problem with the installation. As soon a I click install it gives me an error Digital signature of installation files is missing.

I'm using Windows 8 Pro 64-bit.

The only thing I can think of is that prior to buying the R4F, I had a maximus V Gene (Z77) and I had activated Kaspersky on that. Surely though when buying a new board you would expect to get a full year's licence with that specific product. Perhaps I will let KAV support know and see if they can extend the licence.

KIS2013 and KAV2013 both kill my internet connection.

The only way to get it working again is to disable IM, Mail and Web modules, All 3 have to be disabled before I have internet again

I've throurghly tested many many different combos of the AV settings to try to figure out what is causing it, but every single time, I have to completely disable those 3 modules before my net works again

I can still ping servers, but nothing on any browser at all.

Win 7 SP1 x64
High level of computer knowledge, completely baffled with KAV no net issue

Have Googled hundreds of sites for solutions and only ever find an issuse with XP machines, that an update caused, nothing for 7

as I understand it gives it with the Asus Rampage IV?
there should be an activation code?

No, no activation code just have to download it from ROG "HOME" page....at top.... but you might have to set your computer's date to March 07 to install it!

LOL! good stuff....but I'm just passing the trick on...I can't claim to have discovered that 🙂 still, they seem to give them out for a lot less these days 😉
