Power failure causing NO POST

So i have been able to get the C5F stable since my last post, but I have been constantly been having issue when it comes to shutdowns and power failures. Whenever I shutdown my computer after being on for a while and attempt to immediately turn it back on, it starts to boot, and then just shuts off. Likewise with power failures... if the power gets disrupted from the computer (eg. storm causing power to go out), the same thing occurs when attempting to turn it back on. This is not (to my knowledge) a problem when rebooting the computer. I have checked temps of my proc (FX8150) and they seem normal. I have also tried additional cooling methods.

Is anyone else experiencing issues like this or am I the only one? I have read through other forum posts about the C5F not posting, but none show similar symptoms to what is going on with my pc. And yes, the system is on a surge protector.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Edit: The pc will eventually turn on and post after sitting for a few hours (tested by both removing AC power to the PSU and letting it set with the AC cord plugged in). It just gets very annoying.

tested another psu on your setup?

I have tested a different PSU of a higher Wattage (1200W) on this setup and the same issue occurs.

What BIOS version are you running? Have you checked for updates? Sometimes stability may improve by changing the BIOS even if it isn't in the patch notes. BTW, put it on a FAT32 formatted flash drive and update from the BIOS rather than winflash...more reliable.

I will try updating it tonight. I believe the version I am using is from the early months of this year. Is there a recommended BIOS version that is not officially on the ASUS website that you would recommend?

I have not seen any power issues with it thus far, however I did not pull the power to cause a failure as described. Instead, I purchased a UPS to help. I don't know why it has taken me this log to get one. Hopefully this should be stable for some time.
