Please Help ASUS Rampage IV Extreme PCH Fan stuck 5898 rpm

I have tried everything

Tried two different Bios Versions, Currently on 4802 bios have also tried 4804

Running ASUS AI Suite II 2.04.01

The Monitoring sensor reads PCH Fan around 5888rpm which is pretty loud
PCH Temp is around 37c

It seems to be stuck on full rpm. PLEASE HELP

I Have tried adjusting the bios settings for the PCH control it doesnt seem to have an effect

Not sure what to suggest there Holden...did this just happen or happen as a result of BIOS update? AI suite install?

maybe unplug it from the board and try plugging it in again?

I presume you have cleared CMOS etc.?

Ihave the i7 4820k cpu installed and it requires the latest bios version or no post

So installed and running bios 4802 and tried the 4804

noticed this today and cant seem to put a handle on it

Rampage IV Extreme (x79)
i7 4820k

bios settings all standard, the only thing that has been changed is the fan control settings for the PCH that dont seem to have an effect

AI Suite is installed

Well I would try downloading a fresh BIOS file and flash it BIOS flashback method http://event.asus.com/2012/mb/USB_BIOS_Flashback_GUIDE/

make sure the pendrive is formatted fat32 and shows with a drive letter in "my computer" and not with a name or something else....

You tried the second BIOS chip?

Thanks for the reply have tried the flash back method now 4802 and the latest bios update still has no control of this. The settings don't have any effect

Is this a new MB and this has happened since the start or has this just happened recently after a change of BIOS/CPU etc etc?

EDIT: I've had a look at one or two other threads and similar circumstance has led to RMA unfortunately no resolutions...:(

This motherboard start nine months ago and was work perfect
sudden during working ( with no OC )
It shut the display off with the keyboard ( Ctrl + Alt +Del ) could not restart the machine .
The reset or the q-rest buttons on the board itself could not restart it and I diconnect the main power
wait for about five minutes and connected the mail power try start the machine

Hello there I really appreciate your response and feedback on this issue

I have tried to re-flash the bios to no effect here,
Im beginning to think its a buggy Bios, as asus have addressed this once in a previous bios update when the ivy bridge processor was released

I updated bios to 4804 few days ago and averything seems fine with PCH. Duty mode work, silent and user mode. This is with RIVE and 3930k cpu.
