Pcie Video Card blocking?

I have an issue where I flashed my video card to the most updated bios, now booting won't seem to output any video. I think this has something to do with Secure Boot, but I can't quite confirm it.

My video card (Asus 980 Matrix) has a "safe mode" which allows it to post, and run exactly as I would want...however I can't get back into the normal mode.

I posted a question here https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?60918-Matrix-980-only-runs-in-safe-mode!!-Please-help&p=49..., but I'm really in lost on how this could be happening. I'll be honest, my old brain doesn't quite understand this new world of UEFI.

I'm half tempted to wipe everything and start over, but that seems so stupid if there is a simple fix that would allow the normal bios of my video card to work again.

Did you save a backup of the old bios to flash back to?
