System:

Windows 7 Ultimate
ASUS Maximus Extreme Mobo
Intel i5 3570
Corsair 16 Gig RAM 1600 mhz
Corsair AX1200 Power Supply
ASUS nVidia GTX 680 2gb x 2 (SLI) Physical Slots 1 and 4

Anyway as mentioned my slot 2B is not recognized. I have cleared CMOS and updated to Bios 1604. At a real loss here. I really need that slot to work.

Any suggestions?

If you have slot 2A populated while testing then it is correct.

2A is not populated.

Via the AI Suite. However 2B did not work before the update.

Please do a reflash using the EZ Flash Utility in the BIOS or using the USB BIOS Flashback procedure. After the reflash is successful, then proceed to clear your CMOS. Insert one of your GTX 680 in the third slot (2B). Make sure all of the PCIe lanes switches are turned on. Power up your system. Does the GTX 680 output any video? Any error codes on the DEBUG LED? And do any of the QLEDs that are beside the 24 pin power connector stay lit?

from MVE manual, page 1-26 "PCIe 3.0/2.0_x8_2B slot will be disabled when PCIe 3.0/2.0_x16_2A, PCIe 3.0/2.0_x8_3, PCIe 3.0/2.0_x8_4 slots are occupied."

Having 680 SLI in slots 1 & 4 does just that, it disables 2B.

OK this is the update.

Flashed BIOS from the BIOS via USB
Cleared CMOS Again
QLED - OA
Amber LED behind PCIe Switches 1&3
BlackMagic Intensity Pro Plugged into 2b No Amber LED
BM Card not seen in Device Manager

Removed SLI Cable from Cards

Also when the Bios was installed I got a CPU fan speed error. I am using the Fan that came with the processor, so I told BIOS to ignore.

To avoid the question, Blackmagic Intensity Pro does work in Slot 3.
