Good morning,
I have an Eaton 3S UPS which connects via USB to the computer. On my old Gigabyte 1366 motherboard, the system would boot normally with the UPS plugged in. However, on my new computer, if I try to cold boot the PC, it will hang on the BIOS loading screen until I physically unplug the UPS from the USB port - and the moment that I unplug it, the computer will then proceed to boot up Windows. I can plug the UPS back in after Windows is up, and it works normally.
Is it possible for a USB port to be disabled only for the bootup phase (UEFI)?

Thanks for any help you can give me! It's driving me crazy, as I cannot get Windows to talk to the UPS without the USB plugged in - so no graceful shutdowns like I used to have on my Gigabyte board.
Cheers.
