OK you found the cpu voltage, the cpu core ratio/multiplier should be on the same page. You find that, we can start overclocking. It is on the extreme tweaker tab and should be there after you set the AI Overclock Tuner to manual. Sync all cores, set it to 41 and cpu voltage to 1.25v.

Have you set the AI Overclock Tuner to manual? You need to do this first, then you will see the option to change the multiplier. It is on the extreme tweaker tab.

You should still have an AI Overclock Tuner. Until you see this on extreme tweaker tab I will not be able to help you.

I've been watching this thread for a while and decided that I need to respond.

Are you sure about which board you have? Your first post says you have a M IV Gene but your CPU is a 2600 and it is a Z68? Shouldn't the 2600 be using a M V board and not a IV? The Z68 makes sense for the 2600 although a Z77 would be better.

Please double check which board you have. I'm not so sure you have the board that you think you do. Also, I have to ask this...are you sure this is an ASUS board?
I'd rather be a smartass than a dumbass!!!

Maximus V Extreme - 3770K @ 4.5ghz - Kingston Hyper X KHX24C11K4/16X 16GB @ 2400mhz
Corsair Hydro Series H80i - 2 x MSI GTX 770 Lightning - Samsung 830 SSD 256GB - WD Caviar Black 2TB
Xonar Phoebus - Corsair AX1200i - Antec Eleven Hundred - LG 27EA63V

Thank you Highlnder3, When Jonkerstien posted his bios version, the red flags should have been raised. I didn't think anything of it at the time. He does have the maximus iv gene listed but it can't be so if he posted that bios version and can't find the AI Overclock Tuner. I took a little time and looked it up and on two different occasions, this same motherboard came up. I'll bet this is what he has.

Is this your motherboard Jonkerstien?

http://valid.canardpc.com/6lzufp This is my CPU-Z. I found where to change the CPU ratio finally but it refuses to go above the default. Even the easy aim select box for 4.2 or 4.6 doesnt do anything for my ratio or speed.

Edit:
Any current over clock is by the default 'turbo'

Go into the bios and hit F5 to set the defaults and start again. your cpu voltage should not be that high for stock clock.
