FYI....according to your screen shots the BIOS version you are running is 3603. Now to help you overclock I suggest you start by looking at this thread.
http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?2787-Maximus-IV-GENE-Z-BIOS-Guide-Overclocking&country=&sta...

The screen shots in there will show you where every item in the BIOS is and what it is.

Good luck.
I'd rather be a smartass than a dumbass!!!

Here are 2 screen shots from bios as you can see the version is 2.00.1208 instead of 2.00.1201 which is in the screenshots in the link u gave me now can i roll the bios back so i can see one like that or is it just how my motherboard bios looks.
Also in one of these images i linked here there is the CPU ratio which i tried to change but it is defaulting to 34 and it can go lower but not higher than 34

Thank you for posting your bios screenshots Jonkerstien. Set turbo ratio to by all cores and disable cpu level up. Then post me a screen shot of your extreme tweaker tab.

OK Jonkerstien, I don't see turbo ratio on your extreme tweaker tab. Try setting turbo mode to enabled then see if you have the turbo ratio option.

No sorry it doesnt show anything is there a possiblility that my k series cpu is not unlocked or that my mohterboard does not support overlclocking?

No sir, both your motherboard and cpu were made for overclocking. I'm not sure why the turbo ratio is not showing up in your bios. There might be a setting somewhere to enable it or, it is possible a bios update would put the turbo ratio there. I will look further into this.

Ok, on extreme tweaker tab, do you see cpu performance settings? Set the maximum power setting to disabled and see if it gives you the turbo ratio. We will try a few things to see if we can get the turbo ratio to come up. That is what we are looking for.
