Overclocking issue

Improv

Hey guys, I am having some serious issues with my mobo + CPU combo and not sure what's going on.

Any bit of overclock results in blue screens.

Stock settings with an i7 3770k, Maximus V formula, Thermaltake Water 2.0 my CPU reaches 70 celcius as soon as I begin Prime95 and gradually goes up.

That isn't normal is it? The stock voltage goes up to 1.248 which seems rather high for turbo boost at 3.9GHz no?

I've tried resitting the cooler and reapplying the thermal paste but no change.

I tried 0804 and the latest.

I managed a measly 4.2GHz overclock stable but the temps are reaching into the 80's on a Water 2.0.

This can't be right =/

Stock settings 70 + celcius is not normal is it?

1. Which TT Water 2.0 are you using? Pro, Performer or Extreme?
2. Is the fan blowing in the right direction?
3. which thermal paste are you using?
4. What method are you using to apply the thermal paste?
5. Have you verify that the pump is running at its advertised speed?
6. I'm not familiar this close loop cooler. But are you using the Silent or Performance profile?

I had the same issue when I first installed my new i7 3770K.
Turns out I forgot to reconnect my H70 water pump to my power supply.
Check all connections and like Chino stated, make sure the water pump is running.
