overclocking inconsistencies.

Hello,

I have a rampage iv black edition and 4930k, with 32gb quad channel trident-x 2400mhz (4x8gb dimms)

I'm starting to go insane trying to overclock this thing.

I started out by getting 4.3ghz stable with 2400mhz ram, then moved onto 4.4ghz which i could only get close to stable with 2133mhz, (it would run prime95 for half hour or so before crashing).

Anyway i continued to fiddle with settings over the span of a week until last night i had 4.4ghz stable with 2133mhz running an hour of aid64, and hour of prime small ffts, an hour of prime blend and an hour of rog realbench 16GB usage.

So i saved the bios profile (i also had all settings written down, double checked that everything was good) and went to bed.
This morning i wake up and went to push for a slightly lower voltage by slightly raising PLL. (1.825 ish)

anyway, i dropped the settings back to what they were, and went to run stability checks one last time.

Prime failed instantly, aida failed after 2 min, rog real bench failed instantly.
So i dropped the clock back 100mhz to 4.3ghz. Everything failed instantly.
So i dropped ram back to 1600mhz. Everything failed instantly.

VDIMM has never gone over 1.65 (rated voltage for over 1600mhz) - tried to run @ 1.5v for 1600mhz, won't boot.
Vcore has never been set more than 1.35v for longer than a few min, with a max of 1.4 ever being set.
CPU LLC is on med, 120% current cap.
cpu power phase optimized
VCCSA LLC is on reg, 100% current cap
Dram has 130% current cap (as advised for 4 high density dimms)
power phase optimized

I havent set PLL higher than 1.8875
I havent set VCCSA higher than 1.2v (once or twice, genearlly have it on 1.5) (when set xmp profile of 2400mhz on default settings for cpu, VCCSA raises to 1.25v)
I havent set VTT higher than 1.15v

The closest i can come to getting stability back now is with HIGH LLC which has been strongly advised to not use for 24/7 use most places i've read.

The motherboard has been consistently using 1.6v vcore boot up voltage for a while now, and i didnt realise there was a setting to control this (it was on auto) till i asked the question here and had it pointed out.

Do you guys think the CPU has been degraded beyond use now? as it is ridiculously unstable compared to last nights rock solid stability at 4.4ghz and 2133mhz ram at XMP first timings, and MODE 1 compatible third timings.
