Overclock Corsair Platinum and 4930K

Hello

I tested a 4930k, and can not boot with Corsair Platinum 9-11-11 (chips Samsung) to 2666 10-12-12 (specs of Corsair Platinum 2666mhz)
tested with all Tensions in Auto and vDIMM to 1.67

It is the memory that is not good or is IMC of CPU?

Thanks
Sorry for my english 😄

I have a kit of Platinum 2666cl10, I ran perfectly fine on RIVE with a 4930K, Try with 125 blk, when I set XMP it set blk to 125 and ran perfectly.
Try the memory presets in the bios, I ran these sticks using the Samsung 2800 mhz settings at 3000mhz, just to see if they could do it. I used the voltage in the preset which didn't automatically set. 2.1 volts. I was just playing at that point to see how it could handle it, ran a screenie and turned it off.

27731

27732

Even if the 2400cl9 is the same memory as the 2666cl10, the secondary and third timings may be different. this is why I would suggest trying one of the presets in the bios

I tested the bios 4501 and 0024 (not tested the 4403) and impossible to boot 2666
I even tested in 2666 11-13-13

Not yet tested with 1.70V

EDIT: thanks Menthol for your feedback
I'll try with 125 (strap), can you give me the sub timings that you have for 2666
Sorry for my english 😄

It's OK with the BCLK to 125, to boot 2666 10-12-12
Ok with IntelBurnTest, but it crashes with HyperPI 32M (probably because of the sub timings)

vdimm: 1.65v
VTT and VCCSA: 1.15V

Strange that it does not boot with BCLK to 100

Thanks so much

PS: If someone has the sub timings of kit Platinum 2666 10-12-12

I have a kit of samsung Dominator Platinums....2133 9-11-10-30 I can clock them at 2448 9-11-11-24 on any RIVE BIOS before the IB-E BIOSes....got b5 error trying to boot at the timings I always set on 4107.

I would really appreciate a bit of detail on the differences between the SB-E approach to RAM and the IB-E one...is IB-E more frequency and higher timings and SB-E tight timings...which performs better would be great info too....
