hello all, First post and hopefully in the future it will be a more knowledgeable post !!

Ok ill get right down to it.

SPECS: Crosshair v formula z, AMD FX 8120, 16gigs Corsair vengeance, 2 MSI GeForce 660 ti's
ASUS dvd optical drive, 2 sata 1tb hdd's Rosswell 1000w PSU.

Now for the headache, Ok this system originally started out with a sabertooth mobo, and a corsair hx750 psu, different ram as well, Initial build went great, no problems installed windows without a hitch, then after about 24 hours or so, it would randomly freeze. No artifacts on the screen or anything of the sort. Just froze and that was that, quick reboot and everything was peachy. This happened twice on the third go, it started freezing on win startup screen.

So doing what every guy does I tossed money at it ! read thru the forums looking for similar problems Found some similar but nothing quit like mine, so I went all in got new mobo, new psu set er all up nice neat and orderly. Now its not recognizing any boot devices, the optical drive doesn't spin up, cant tell on the hdd's its like the sata connection is non existent .

I've reset the bios, I've disassembled and reassembled, I've changed everything known to man, im at my wit's end, I know some of you are thinking take it to a pro, but I like to do things myself, only way to learn. So if your familiar with this issue show me some sympathy and help me out 😛 im dyiiiiiiiing here !!

I've researched threads, haven't seen anything covering this same problem, so if it HAS I apologize before hand.

Once you do the first part you need to remove the pen drive.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

OK, I talked with asus customer support, there first reaction was to tell me to update the bios, wich ive already done. They instructed me to pull the mobo, and build it outside the case, wich tbh I should of done in the first place. Crosshair still does not recognize any sata connections. The sabertooth on the other hand seemed to work just fine (seemed) So I installed er reran all cabling did er up nice and neat. Windows installed without a hitch to the ssd, everything good to go, till I tried to find my OTHER Hard drive, wich is just a stand Seagate 2tb drive. It wont recognize it, I go into bios I see, the ssd and the Seagate, but when I start windows its not under the my computer display. Checked device manager and I see it in device manager as well, gonna do some more research and I think ill have er down. Unfortunately ill have to RMA the crosshair, and go thru this again when I get it back lol 😛 thanks for the interest and all the helpful posts. Maybe this post will help someone else in the near future. Thanks again !

The drive needs to be initialized and formatted with a drive letter assigned before it will be seen in My Computer. Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Disk Management.

Download this tool, burn and boot.
