Morning ROG Community

I got myself a SSD yesterday (OCz Agility 3 120GB).Did a fresh installation of Windows 7 64bit Ultimate. Installed all drivers and programs everything worked flawless until I got a bad shutdown. When I switch my rig back on the windows ddnt wanted to load just hand on the windows logo (where the colors come together and form the windows logo).

Any help guys?

I would recommend reseting your BIOS back to default settings while installing Windows and updates

Hey guys thanx for the advice, I kinda got it to work all I needed was to install SP1. Tested it by playing a Prince of Persia (Favourite game), and then swith my rig of by the wall socket (I know kind of evil lol). Switch rig back on and everything worked fine.:)

Thanx

I have one of these too and when I first got it I had no end of problems - but since it was a new build it was difficult to pinpoint the actual cause. I would get random stop errors, and then on reboot the system would not recognise the SSD until i actually powered off and on again. I have fixed this problem now by updating the firmware on the SSD and to the latest BIOS on the mobo, and my system runs pretty much solid, without those issues. Updating the SSD firmware is a bit of a pain though, you have to use a boot disk as it won't let you update the firmware on a system drive.

My recommendation anyway ^^

I've had no problems at all updating the Firmware for my GT from within Windows...must be an OCZ problem lol 😛
