OC Panel

Hi.

Simple question, is it possible to use the OC panel in "normal mode" to control my 4x chassi fan?

The idea is to replace my current fan controller in my chassi, and also to get the benefit to read CPU temp & CPU Voltage etc.

There is a fan button on the OC panel for changing the fan profiles between silent, normal, and turbo in normal mode. That said, I usually just set mine in BIOS for turbo and the last three on the list to Duty at 90% as its quite hot in my part of the world in the summer. Even with the fans in this config, the machine is pretty quiet. I am on the Maximus VI Extreme with 0804 BIOS.

Didn't mean to be rude 😛

But are you saying that you using the OC panel in normal mode with the 5.25” drive bay, and is able to control your chassi fans?

You must be American 🙂

What I am saying is I can select the fan speed profile from a list set in BIOS from the OC panel in "normal mode". This allows me to speed up the fans to turbo or make them slower or silent. All my fans are plugged into the motherboard not the OC panel. Obviously, I have no idea what fan controller you are currently using or how my config would compare but hope this helps.

As Atlantis has said, yes you can use the OC panel. The amount of control that you have is not as complete as a stand alone controller nor some software.
