I built a pc for the first time and am having some issues. I am not receiving any video output. The mobo is receiving power as it is lit up. The mobo does not beep when powered on. I tried disconnecting the GPU and connecting directly but that had zero effect. Do I have a deffective Mobo?

Welcome to the forum!

Try posting with only one stick of memory and just your CPU installed with nothing else attached or installed.
To eliminate the possibility of a short, pull the board from your case and place it on top of your Hero box. Then follow the above procedure.

If these procedures fail, then you will need to focus on either a faulty PSU or board.

To add to this, make sure to reset your CMOS before testing. This will default your BIOS back to its original settings.
Hi, I have now retired from ASUS support, please refer problems to current @ASUS/cl- usernames.

Is there any code that its stopping at during the intial post? Are you hard drive(s) connect to correct SATA port? I had same issue here to find out I just had my hard drives connected wrong.
