no boot drive found

I have an asus tuf gaming x570-plus board.  Bought it in 2021 and never any problems.  Last month I updated the bios to 4602 x64 since i was thinking about a new processor.  Have use the computer everyday since and no issues.  Bought a ryzen 9 5900x and installed it.  It boots into bios and I can see the proc is recognized as is the memory, but I have no boot drives.  I use a sabrant m.2 2280 1tb as boot drive and another Sabrant 500gb as storage.  I have other various storage devices as well. Under advanced sata in bios, i can see the 2 drives connected to the motherboard, and m.2_1 and m.2_2 that if I click on either, bios asks me to change the name.  Under onboard devices, all the pciex are listed as auto, including the sabrant drives.  I can provide other bios information as necessary.

If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. I've been building my own computers for 15 years and have never come across this issue.

thanks

Ben

Hello,

Do you still have access to your old CPU? Would be helpful if you can confirm if the issue persists with it being reinstalled.

13900KS / 8000 CAS36 / ROG APEX Z790 / ROG TUF RTX 4090

I still have it.  I will reinstall it.
