No bios or windows loading screen...

Weird problem...

finally got my board back from RMA set everything up... working fine for a few boots but now all of a sudden I have no bios screen or windows loading screen... computer sits with a blank screen for like 20 secs then poof into windows...
When I try to get into bios during the start up process I get a boot device led... and nothing starts up... any suggestions ?

Providing any assistance would be rather difficult since I have no idea what hardware you are using.

Please provide a full list of your hardware and if possible the BIOS version.

But quick fix would be to do a full clear CMOS with the battery out and thereafter flash your bios to the latest bios for that motherboard.

I Just got the board back from a RMA, so it came back with latest bios... also tried the cmos button, computer will no longer post... just getting the boot device led.. will try the battery in the morning by full cmos do you mean moving the jumper ?

Full CMOS clear is the following for me.

Remove all components from the motherboard.
Remove all power connectors from the motherboard.
Remove the battery.
Reset BIOS.
Clear CMOS - using jumpers (Motherboard dependant)
Leave for at least 20 mins - a couple of hours is better.

Once done - rebuild the system using the minimul amount of hardware.
One GPU, one stick of ram and one hard drive.

Boot and see if the system is stable at stock, memtest for each stick of ram at rated specifications as per the product.
Then CPU stability using your application of choice.
And then and only then would I install my OS that I wished to use 24/7

ok found the problem sorry im retarded... (first time running sli setup)....

so i hit reset next to the start button a few times and it loaded me into windows... I was reading around and apparently with sli setup you need to have monitor plugged into top card to see bios splash screen and windows logo screen, after windows loads the 2nd card will kick in... so there was my problem 🙂 thanks for reading into it... all good now !
