Nic is takeing forever to connect

my integrated nic takes for ever to link up to my router. any ideas?

Case: Rosewill Blackhawk Ultra
PSU: EVGA NEX1500 SuperNova
Mobo: Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z
CPU: AMD FX-8350 Eight Core 4.0+ Ghz
Memory: 32Gbs G-Skill 2400Mhz(OC)
HardDisk1: 256Gbs OCZ Vertex-4
HardDisk2: 1TB WD VelociRaptor
GPU: 2x Asus HD Radeon 7850
Monitor: 3x Asus 23" LDC
HeadSet: Logitech G930
KeyBoard: Logitech G19

Try a new cable, try a new port in the router if available.
Check your speed/duplex settings and your flow control
Your NIC driver might have a diagnostics function, you should check that out
Your NIC driver might have power-saving turned on, you might have to disable that
You might have turned on link authentication (eap/tls/pki) you might have to turn that back off
You might need to down-level the driver
There might be a problem with your firewall
There might be corruption in the network driver stack
Check for malware and/or browser bars
...
The nic might be bad
There's a lot of things that can cause a "slow link" type thing, it may even be a bug that makes your nic incompatible with that particular router

it worked fine till i installed AI Suite II
