Going to flash soon and try it out.


Any idea if this has the new OROM for TRIM x79?

Works fine with BRenamer, and USB Flashback, ME Firmware 8.

I've bios 3301 and MEI is 7.1, not different from others bios.

This is just a feeling, seem like there are "blindspots" in the bclk. more i dont know. And the ratio voltage/mhz.. jumps sky high above 5,2.. vtt_ddr and so on

Puzzled with some of the posts regarding this latest Bios 3301....some are getting Firmware 8 ???....Some are not ??? ...Still stuck on Firmware 7???......How can this be ???....I have flashed to Bios 3301 & can't recall seeing Firmware 8....Stiil Firmware 7 from what I can remember......
So....I guess my question to all members is.......Do you get Firmware 8 or not with Bios 3301 ???....if so....How ???

Yes you get the ME 8 Firmware with this BIOS, BUT only if you using USB BIOS Flashback and not the EZ Flash!
Download the Bios with the BRenamer,extract the .rar Archive and then double click on the Brenamer Application, then you have a R4E.CAP,copy this to a USB Sticker (Fat16 or Fat32),shut down your PC, Put the Stick in the White USB Slot next to ROG Connect Button. And then push the ROG Connect Button and the CLR CMOS Button at the same time.The ROG Connect Button begins to blinking ,after ca 2Minutes the blinking stops,and then you can Power on the sys,if you entering the Bios you will see the 8. ME Firmware

Hi guys! well its true, if you update your bios via USB Flashback you get your ME updated, just look at my screenshot, just after re-flashing using the Flashback method.

I tried it again, it is flashing my mobo, but still not updating MEI.

Hello gents,

I'm a greenhorn in this business, but an interested one.
I purchased a R4E in September this year. Currently running on BIOS 3101.
The thing is : I am already on ME version 8.1.10.1286, don't know since when.
No particular update was performed, except the stock bios updates (must have been 3 in total since the beginning) via the Flashback method.
