Wont install because X79 Hardware ID for MEI isn't included in the .INF
I wonder if it's safe to add the hardware ID to the .INF file?? Could someone else sheld some light on this?

There's also new chipset driver on station drivers 9.3.1.1007 WHQL.


EDIT: On a sidenote. I suggest you don't use this ME driver if you flashed version 8 1.5M FW by Necrosan. This driver has different versioning scheme and is aimed for the 5M version and not the 1.5M. It could work properly but who knows.

You got that on the chipset inf or the ME driver? I didn't try the ME driver at all since it's 8.1.2.x 5Mo and I've flashed my own 8.1.10.1286 1.5M FW...

The chipset inf installed properly for me although I believe there's no change in the drivers from the previous version.

EDIT: I just saw your edit. It won't install because of what I already said above. It's for a different version of the FW. Adding the Hardware ID won't do any good..it will most likely be problematic.

ME 8.1.2.x are older than 8.1.10.1286 😉

Actually they are not older. They are for different FW target.
