Come to find out my ethernet was disabled in bios. I enabled it Windows 10 automatically installed drivers. Not sure if it downloaded them from the internet or pulled them from drivers I have located on a spare drive.

Anyway all is good now.

I found that installing the driver from the ASUS MB DVD installs all the bells and whistles, such as teaming and VLAN. After installing that version, DO NOT try to upgrade the LAN further, you will lose all the teaming and advanced settings in windows 10.
